Good Friday Service, Friday, April 15 at 7:00 P.M.  In honor of Good Friday, Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church presents a Stations of the Cross service.  You are invited to join us in the sanctuary as we will sing hymns, read scripture, and pray through all the different stations.  On Good Friday, Christians around the world remember Jesus’ execution by the Roman authorities by hanging from a cross.  Starting in the Middle Ages, Christians took pilgrimages to Jerusalem to remember Jesus’ death.  When people couldn’t go to Jerusalem to walk the path Jesus took to his crucifixion, the ritual of the stations of the cross was born.  Our prayer is that you know Jesus a little better through entering into the story of his death.  We believe this story holds great power to change people’s lives for the better.  God bless you as you experience and “walk” the Stations of the Cross.  The service will also be live streamed via Zoom.
